Inspired by home-cooked meals and her educational background in nutrition, Heather’s recipes were formed around three key principles: an emphasis on using sustainable proteins, such as 100% grass-fed bison or humanely harvested venison; the food must be lightweight and packable; and the meals must be dehydrated - a manner that is less energy intensive than more popular methods used in making trail food.
