Vegan Coconut Bacon Recipe

  • 4 cups flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chipotle pepper
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Mix all the wet ingredients together, and blend in the dry spices. Once it's all thoroughly mixed, mix in the flaked coconut and make sure it is all coated evenly.

Spread the coconut flakes onto a lightly greased dehydrator tray. Dehydrate at 105°F for 8 to 12 hours, until the whole mix is very crispy.

Makes 10 servings.
