Recipe: DIY Gummy Bears

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peach fruit juice
  • 1 tbsp ginger juice
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 4 tbsp grass-fed Vital Proteins gelatin

Instructions

Warm the fruit juice in a saucepan over medium heat and mix in the maple syrup. Once the syrup has been mixed in, take the juice off the heat, and slowly add one tablespoon of gelatin add a time, while whisking aggressively. You want to avoid as many clumps as possible.

Pour the fruit juice mixture into silicone gummy molds using a pipette, and let set in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Store these in the fridge, freezer or enjoy right away!

  • When I saw this recipe show up in my inbox I instantly bookmarked it!
    I finally made the time (and acquired the needed items) to make these. I couldn’t find peach juice, so I settled on apricot mango as an alternative. They turned out wonderfully!
    My only suggestion would be to let those making them know that they should either have two trays or cut the recipe in half. Since I only bought one tray, by the time my first batch was set…so was the rest of the mixture…inside the pan. But hey, who doesn’t like jello jugglers, right :-) Thanks for sharing such a creative and unique recipe.

    One question. How would the recipe stand up if I added salt? (thinking of using these in place of my Clif Shot Bloks).
